FAQs

Everything you might want to know before your first gathering.

What is Mirage Society & Yoga?

Mirage Society & Yoga is a Yoga Hub and social club in the Greater Toronto Area — an intimate fusion of somatic healing, cortisol lowering, slow-flow yoga and power/fast-paced yoga, acoustic sound healing, and aesthetic social gatherings, with Yoga Hubs in Scarborough and Thornhill.

What is your refund and cancellation policy for in-studio classes?

All in-studio class bookings are final sale and non-refundable — the same policy that applies to our retreats and workshops. Because each session is capped at 25 mats, every booking holds a spot for you that we cannot resell at short notice. Please carefully check the date, time, and location before you reserve.

How much does a class cost?

Each session is $85 (CAD) — early bird rate. We don't sell annual memberships — choose a drop-in session, or a 1-Month Intensive Pass for four focused weeks (pricing coming soon). While ticket drops are being finalised, join the priority waitlist on the calendar to hear first.

How early should I arrive for class?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in, set up your mat, and silence your phone. Our doors lock strictly at start time so the room stays undisturbed once practice begins. Late arrivals cannot be admitted, so please ensure you are on time.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear comfortable, breathable gym wear material you can move freely in. Our aesthetic palette leans toward black, white, ivory, and soft neutrals. We practice barefoot. Please keep scents light and skip heavy perfume, cologne, or strongly scented products so the room stays comfortable for everyone. Bring your own mat, a water bottle, and a small throw blanket for rest.

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a guided, restful experience where you lie or sit comfortably while a practitioner plays singing bowls. The layered acoustic tones are designed to help you slow down, quiet the mind, and rest deeply. No experience is needed — you simply listen.

Where are your gatherings held?

Our weekly classes run at our Yoga Hubs: Avenue 24 in Scarborough on Wednesday evenings and Roxo Club in Thornhill on Friday evenings.

Do you offer services outside the GTA?

Yes. Weekly classes run at our Scarborough and Thornhill Yoga Hubs, while private sessions, retreats and gatherings welcome guests from across Ontario. Email hello@miragesociety.co with your date, group size and location and the team will share what's possible.

How do I book a spot?

Every class and gathering has a Reserve button that opens our secure online booking gateway, where you choose your spot and pay securely. Each session is capped at 25 mats and all bookings are final sale, so we recommend viewing the calendar and reserving early.

Do I need yoga or meditation experience?

No. Our sound baths, retreats and gatherings are designed for every level, including complete beginners. Facilitators guide you through each part of the experience.

Are drinks at your gatherings alcohol-free?

Yes. Our mocktail stations serve non-alcoholic botanical beverages made with ingredients like fresh mint, lime and natural syrups.

Are sound baths suitable if I am pregnant or have a health condition?

Many guests find sound baths gentle and restful, but they are not a substitute for medical care. If you are pregnant, have a sound-sensitive condition, epilepsy or a medical implant, please speak with your healthcare provider first and let us know before the session.
